Summary:

This new arrival on Netflix is a movie produced in 1994 and directed by Kevin Smith. It’s about a man named Dante Hicks (Brian O'halloran) that works as a clerk at a convenience store in New Jersey. On his day off he ends up getting called into work. But when he agreed to work that day he had no idea of the problems he was about to face.   Including finding out that his ex-girlfriend is about to get married and he is still in love with her, he can’t seem to be able to open the shutters outside, and his current girlfriend will not stop bugging him about starting college, he also finds out revealing “thing” about her past. He has just found out that another ex girlfriend has passed away and today is the last day that he can go to her wake, and still his boss has not come to in to take over for him. He has a hockey game at two o’clock and he is dealing with a lot of rude customers that don’t seem to have much intelligence. One of the funniest problems that Dante deals with on a regular base is his friend Ronald who is a clerk at the video store next door to the convenient store that Dante works at. Ronald is a problem because he is continually disturbing and bothering all of Dante’s customers. Will Dante make it through this long day at work? Just remember Dante came into work on his day off.

This is another funny movie by Kevin Smith once again he has pulled off an entertaining comedy. I would give this movie 7 out of 10 Clerks is one of those movies that you just can’t stop watching because you are too busy laughing.   

Is it true, do Zack and Miri make a Porno?

Summary:

Zack and Miri make a porno is a comedy directed by Kevin Smith. It’s all about two close friends Zack (seth Rogen) and Miri (Elizabeth Banks) who find themselves both have money problems and they both need to find a way to make money and quickly. At their class reunion they meet up with an old friend who is trying to become a success in the adult porn industry. After talking to their former classmate they decide that the quickest way to make a lot of money is to help make a porno. First, a video of Miri in her granny panties goes viral helping to ensure that this porno is going to be a success.  They give their porno a geeky appeal.  Zack gathers his roommates and they all begin making this movie. During the process of the film making they face many different obstacle Zack’s parents almost finding out. Towards the end of the film making process we begin to find out that maybe perhaps Zack and Miri are not only long time friends but they may have began to fall in love. Making it even harder for both of them to continue making this porno.

Extremely funny, I would give this movie 8 out of 10, one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a long time Kevin smith does an excellent job. So do all the actors and actresses in this film. Seth Rogen in my opinion might just be one of the funniest actors to work on comedy movies.

This movie can be found on Netflix next time you’re on Netflix and looking for a comedy/ crime Christmas movie check it out! In summary this movie is based on two conmen one that plays “santa” and the other that plays “the elf”. They go into mall department stores and attempt to break into the safe on Christmas Eve. However, this particular Christmas they run into trouble when they meet an 8 year old boy played by Brett Kelly who just wants to be friends with the two conmen, and then shows them the real meaning of Christmas. When the security guard find out what they are doing it all comes to an end.

This movie is really funny, has a lot of humor and great acting! I have always loved Christmas movies and this one has to be one of my favorites, it’s a comedy/crime movie and had me constantly laughing! For this movie I would give it, 7 out of 10 for being pretty funny!

Summary:

Ben Stiller and Jennifer Aniston star in the Movie along came Polly. A man named Rueben, played by Ben, is away on a honeymoon with his wife Lisa, played by Debra Messing. While on a scuba diving trip Lisa sleeps with instructor. Reuben then flew home to try and recover himself. He went out and did different things, and eventually ran into Polly Prince who was played by Jennifer. The two started dating and found out that they were complete opposites but still like each other. The relationship well until a call from Lisa saying she wanted to get back together. He uses his computer to decide who would be the better choice and Polly finds out. She tells him he would be better off with her and leaves. Reuben moved in with Lisa. He found out he couldn’t be without Polly so he begged her to get back together. She agreed.

Rating:

I would give this movie 4 out of 10 for not being very funny! I like both Jennifer Aniston and Ben stiller but I just didn’t enjoy watching this movie, I found it to be kind of boring. Not a lot of excitement at all! Ben stiller is usually a lot more comedic then he is in Along Came Polly!

The movie Bruce Almighty stars Jim Carry, who in the movie is named Bruce. He has a girlfriend named Grace who is played by Jennifer Aniston. Bruce works for the news in covering media stories and works hard to become a news anchor. When he finally gets the job as a news anchor it does not last long. His enemy co-worker gets promoted and ends up taking his job. Bruce becomes furious and complains to God, played by Morgan Freeman for what had happened. God answers to his and gives him his powers to see if Bruce could do a better job, but the powers had to be kept secret from everyone else.  He overdoes his privilege by using the powers for his own personal things. As the movie goes on he begins to hear noises from people who are saying prayers and only get worse he is overwhelmed as he finds out how difficult the job of God is. He ends up losing Grace as well. Later on he hears a prayer from Grace that really made his want her back. He tells God his job is too hard to handle and wants his normal life back. Grace and Bruce united again.

Rate:

I would give Bruce Almighty 5 out of 10. There were points that made me laugh throughout the movie but nothing that I found to be extremely funny. I can say I surely, will be interested in watching the sequel.

Summary:

The movie Daddy Day Care is about two dads who are unemployed. Together, with no experience, they decided that it would be a good idea to start their own childrens daycare, named Daddy Day Care. The daycare was held at their house and as days went by they began to accumulate more children. Later on the two dads ran into some problems where they were being investigated. They were told they needed to add another person to look after the kids due to the number of them they had. Also a lady of a strict daycare had had some of her children switch to Daddy Day Care and tried to make trouble for them by stating that Daddy Day Care was not a good place for kids. In the end the three of them proved her wrong and ended up getting big enough to buy their own building.

To me Daddy Dare Care was a very good movie. There was never a dull moment and it was extremely cute and funny. I would sugest it to anyone and also think that it makes the perfect family movie. I give Daddy Day Care 9 out of 10.

Summary:

Nature's Calling is the sequal to Without A Paddle. It stars a different cast than the original. The movie is about two boys who are best friends who are complete opposites. One of them who is a trouble maker, named Zach, and Ben who is oblivious to everything around him except for the girl of his dreams, Heather. Heather moves away and as years go by the boys move farther apart due to choosing different lifestyles. Ben moved on to be successful but stressed due to the work load, while Zach enjoyed his life helping the elderly in a retirement home. An ederly lady at the home asks Zach to find her granddaughter. Zach realizes that she is Ben's dream girl and calls him to tell him. The two began their quest to find heather hitting a lot of rocky parts along the way. The two find her and are reunited again with Heather along with her friend. Ben was finally able to tell Heather how he had felt after all of that time, and convinced the two of them to come back and see her grandmother.

This movie was funny at parts but not very often. The story line line was boring and not very interesting which made it lame. They added a lot of things that were not nescessay which made it corny. Overall I dont think the movie was a good watch and I would only give it a 3 out of 10.
